The overall success of our school depends on the faithful volunteer support of each family!  Every MCS family is required to complete 20 hours of service prior to the end of June.  The service hours are to be fulfilled in two distinct sections of the program:  Continuing Education for Parents and the Service Programs.  Each section of the program has a minimum of hours that need to be served.  Should you not complete these hours of service, your student account will be billed at a rate of $12.50 per hour for each hour that remains unfulfilled in each section of the program.  I Corinthians 12:18 says, "But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, everyone of them just as he wanted them to be."  We believe God has blessed you with skills that can help toward the success of our school and lower our expenses.

I.  Continuing Education For Parents Program:
    4 hours minimum to be served
          Options for Continuing Education:
                1.  Fall Parent Meeting, held in August 2010 - 1 hour
                2.  Winter Parent Meeting, TBD - 1 hour
                3.  Association Meeting, held in May 2011 - 1 hour
                4.  First Parent Teacher Congress Meeting of the school year, September 2010 - 1 hour
                5.  Any Board of Education Meeting, held Monthly - 1 hour
                6.  Other Parent Seminars/Meetings as offered, TBS - 1 hour

II.  Service Program:
    12 hours minimum to be served
          Options for Service Hours:
                1.  SERVATHON - Parent coordinators and staffing volunteers
                2.  Fellowship of Hope - Committee members and table captains
                3.  PTC Events - Committee members and staffing volunteers
                4.  Athletics Boosters - Committee members and staffing volunteers
                5.  Fine Arts Boosters - Committee members and staffing volunteers
                6.  Drama - Staffing Volunteers
                7.  MCS Ambassadors - Hospitality team members
                8.  Auction - Committee members and staffing volunteers
                9.  Elementary Lunch and Recess - Volunteers
                10.  Maintenance and Grounds - Volunteers
                11.  Professional Services - Volunteers
                12.  Student Tutoring/Teacher Assistants - Volunteers
                13.  Elementary Classroom - Room parent, volunteers, drivers
                14.  Secondary Classroom - Volunteers, drivers
                15.  Walk-A-Thon - Parent coordinators and staffing volunteers
                16.  Library - Volunteers
                17.  Office/Clerical - Volunteers
                18.  Security /Morning Door Monitor - Coordinator and staffing volunteers        
                19.  J-Term - Instructors and volunteers to be Job Shadowed
                20.  Other - Announcements will be made throughout the school year as needed

Remaining 4 hours may be served in either section of the Family Service Hour Program.

Hours for Family Service Hour Programs will be determined by the Administration and Development Department by hours worked and donations received.  As hours are fulfilled, please fill out a volunteer slip (available online and in the business office).  In the event of unexpected hardship, please contact the business ofice.  If this agreement is not fulfilled, report cards and/or records will be withheld.  Volunteer opportunities start July 1st.  Continuing Education for Parent hours are NOT transferable.
